10 Days / 9 Nights

From 27/09/2020 to 06/10/2020 inclusive

Every serious rider knows that Thailand is biking Nirvana. Once again for 2020, TBB Tours is pleased to offer you the opportunity to take it to the next level!

Our very special tour allows you to ride through some of Thailand’s most stunning scenery on amazing roads, all the while anticipating the spectacle that is MotoGP.

The Thailand round in 2018 was a tremendously exciting race and was voted as the best round of 2018 and 2019’s race was an absolute thriller with Marquez taking the win again on the last lap. Can he make it three in a row for 2020 or will Quatararo or one of the other youngbloods upset his Thailand hat trick attempt? Is this The Legend that is Valentino Rossi’s last stand? To find out, come with us and experience the absolute pinnacle of motorsport first hand. The Thais really know how to lay on a show and 2020 will be no exception!

MotoGP 2020 at Buriram

2018 was the inaugural year for MotoGP in this wonderful country and the Buriram International Race Circuit was chosen as the venue. The circuit will once again host this great spectacle for 2020.

This circuit was opened in 2014 and has hosted World Superbike there since 2015. It’s a long flat circuit and as such, offers ample “live” viewing opportunities in addition to big screens dotted around the circuit. As it is owned by Chang – the number 1 in the Thai beverage market, there are also great facilities for food and drink at many points around the circuit.

For 2020 we are in the main Grandstand on the start/finish straight which not only gives a great view of the starting grid but as Buriram is flat, there’s great views of pretty much all of the circuit which are supplemented by huge viewing screens. And lastly, don’t forget you’ll be opposite the podium to see the winners celebrate. Perfect.

So, onto the tour. For the first four days you will experience some of the best roads you have ever ridden in your life, including the majority of the famous “Mae Hong Son Loop”. Often included in the list of Top Ten Biking Roads In The World. On the way to the circuit we are lucky enough to have time to visit Sukhothai Historical Park and the amazing Wat Phra Sorn Kaew. We snake our way through national parks offering tastes of untouched Thailand, balanced out by some truly fantastic stretches of grippy tarmac that are a motorcyclists dream. Everything from tight, technical minor roads leading to stunning views, to fast flowing sweepers where you can wind it on, feel the bike dig in and the smile on your face widening even further – this is it!!!

We’ll arrive at our hotel close to Buriram on Friday afternoon and after checking in, you will be free to decompress from the ride by the pool and then go out and explore the restaurants and nightlife of the town.

The next two days we ride to the circuit for qualifying practice and race days where you will be able to watch all three classes and get up close and personal to your favourite riders. If you have never been to an international motorcycle race, you will be astounded by the atmosphere – the sights, the noise, the people, the whole thing just gets you buzzing!

Once the racing is over and we’ve recovered after a good night’s sleep, we jump back onto the bikes again and head back towards Chiang Mai over a two day period. Our route, as always, is not direct and takes in another great mix of roads where, after the adrenaline of the racing, you may find yourself imagining that you are your favourite racer tipping into the final corner at Buriram!

This is a unique tour offering the unusual mix of scenic rural Thailand, the thrill of a world-class sporting event plus the dynamic modern scene that the main cities have to offer.

This is a 10 Day/9 Night tour and places will be allocated on a first come/first served basis and there are 16 spots available. Hotels have been handpicked for quality and most have a swimming pool. Single occupancy is standard for the rooms with the exception of the three nights close to the circuit. Buriram is not a large town/city and therefore has limited accommodation options so we were very lucky to be able to secure 10 twin bedded rooms. Two of these will be taken by the support team leaving 8 for our 16 lucky clients!

Bikes will be the proven Suzuki V-Strom 650 which are eminently suitable for solo or pillion riding. A support truck for your luggage will also be provided as well and you’ll be accompanied on the tour by the owners of TBB Tours – Duncan and Jeff, who will take in turns as sweep and lead riders and a T.A.T licensed guide will ride in the support truck to keep everything nice and legal.

This tour is “all inclusive” meaning that everything apart from evening meals and alcohol is supplied. Bikes, riding jacket and helmet, fuel, insurance, accommodation for 9 nights (including the night before the tour departs), breakfast, lunch, guide services and MotoGP tickets for practice and race days.

This is a tour suitable for anyone with a reasonable amount of “big bike” experience and pillions are welcome. We don’t ride extremely fast and definitely not recklessly but you must be competent and comfortable with speeds averaging between 80 – 120kph.
